About Me

I fell in love with photography by accident. I was part of Riot Radio (an action sports based internet radio talk show) when I bought a small point and shoot digi camera to get shots of the events we attended for our website. I quickly realized how much I enjoyed shooting, and people started to tell me I had a knack for it. In 2004 I bought my first SLR camera, a Canon Rebel 300D and I could not stop experimenting and learning. What started out as somewhat of a chore had turned into an obsession.
Now 10 years later, getting out there and shooting is still what makes me truly happy. Hanging out with other photogs, racers and friends while capturing images is what it’s all about for me. I’ve been able to meet amazing people from all over the world and travel all over the US, Mexico, Canada, Doha Qatar and even Malaysia.
I’ve also been able to use my photography to delve into design work and print media. While doing lots of photography work for The AWA’s Ride magazine, they asked me if I wanted to do an event layout for an issue. I jumped at the chance, and got hooked on the design side of media as well.
In 2011 I started doing photography and almost all layout design work for a watercraft magazine called Pro Rider. I created everything from the Magazine logo to the website. After four years, I am no longer working for the magazine, but proud of the work I accomplished during my time there.
Uploading photos on ronnymac.com to make photos available for people to buy and make prints had been put on the back burner. Until now! Welcome to the return of ronnymac.com. I really hope you like it. Please contact me with any questions you might have, and I look forward to working with you. Check out my Facebook page Ronny McHenry and the RonnyMac page.
